I love building communities and helping professionals figure out what they want to do with their career. I'm often the first person friends and friends-of-friends call when considering a career move and have helped hundreds of people secure full-time jobs and internships.
At Greylock Partners, I focus on technical university talent (software engineer, data science, product, & design) for our portfolio companies and work with both undergraduate and graduate-level students. Before this role, I managed the internship component of the Stanford in New York program, focusing on student career advising, professional development, employer relations, and alumni engagement. Outside of work, I helped build New York's university recruiting community (#URxNYC), one of the local chapters involved with the University Recruiting Conference. I led Stanford's young alumni club in New York and develop professional and social programming to benefit the 2,500+ young alumni living in the city. Prior to my role at Stanford, I was the platform manager at Lerer Hippeau Ventures, the most active seed stage investor in New York, and then worked as a project manager for the co-founder of Dia&Co, a Lerer Hippeau portfolio company.
I have a passion for talent development and helping others succeed in their careers. My own career started in education, and I have had the opportunity to teach in the CA public school system, as well as teaching English abroad in Spain - where my students taught me the art of tapas, fiesta, and flamenco! While attending business school I was able to translate my joy of teaching into creating programs in the professional development space. I love working with early career talent and building programs that set new hires up for a positive first job. Development + coaching + culture = retention & results!
Through proven work ethic, drive, innovation and an upbeat personality I have consistently grown programming, event attendance, social media presence and client engagement over my 5+ years working in Higher Education. The skills I am currently perfecting include development of funding and in kind donations to assist in furthering the mission of providing students the best support system for their professional aspirations.
